Finally the sun's out after the past one week of rain, the weather all nice and sunny. A tad too hot and scorching for us though, walking barefoot on the sand was akin to walking on fire. Okay, tts a little exaggarated. It was like walking on hot pan. TOTALLY. Kelly looked like she was playing hopscotch while hoping ard, cos the sand was seriously like hot chracoal. Even our slippers (rubber slippers) turned into very good heat conductors. haha. Left Siloso by 3 plus and then Hong Kong food at Kim Gary, Vivo. Affordable and qt alright food!

Caught Alone, the Thai horror flick, with my sis this afternoon, and we were rather amused by the twist. The storyline's pretty good, if I may say. It wasn't exactly THAT scary actually, though the ghost looked really horrifying and hideous. And the typical horror-flick effects (the lightings, and freaky music, and the sudden BOO from behind) actually managed to scare us out of our wits. HAHAHA. We are like so useless please!? Then again, I get a kick out of scaring myself by watching horror shows. ha! ha! Am I perverse or what?!

Which brings me to this really funny article I came across while reading this month's issue of Readers Digest. The article, titled 'Are you normal or nuts' really got me tickled. Its about strange quirks and behaviours, and whether they are normal or unusual/psychiatric treatment-necessary. Quite funny, esp this particular person who wrote in about his wierd habit.

' I hate choosing things. When I grab a spoon out of a drawer, I have a hard time picking one, even though they're all the same. Then, when I finally choose a spoon, I feel bad for all the others. I even sort of apologise to them: "Sorry, guys. Next time!" Is this wierd? '

I just burst out laughing to myself while reading this. Haha and this reminds me of this really strange quirk of mine when I was younger, in Pri 6, I think. I used to wash my hands so often and after touching almost every single thing. haha. No wonder I was like stick thin, like seriously, in Pri 6. All these unnecessary stress. haha. Come to think of it, its quite funny. But really it was exhausting, having to wash my hands so very often. My mum was so worried, she thought I had to see a shrink. But phew thank goodness, that became a thing of the past.

Maybe it was the PSLE stress. haha. kidding.

This is so random, but I dropped my butterfly clip into the toilet bowl again this morning, adding on to the list of stuff I've dropped into it. (rubber bands, bobby pins, toothbrush). Managed to get it out with a pair of chopsticks. I'm rather skillful with it. haha.

Menotti with Vic this afternoon, nice random chats (as it has always been) over espresso and ice-cream. Wanted some cakes after the drinks but we were too, too full. Must be the durians haha. After that it was tuition at Charlotte's. I just wanna hug and squeeze Jamie whenever I see her laaaaa, haha she's LIKE HOW ADORABLE PLEASE =)))).

So random, but it sucks to have to wait a week for the next episode!

After much procrastination, I've decided to cut my hair. Much to the delight of Elaine and Kelly, I suppose, since I've been bugging them the entire afternoon.

"eh how? should I cute my hair or not?"
"but how should I cut it?"
"but where should I go cut?"

I told the lady to give it a snip for a uniform length. So now my hair is like, one length. Almost rectangular. She was like, 'are u sure? it'd look shapeless'. I was pretty sure she meant it'd look tootified. haha I thought so too but I couldnt care less la (at that moment), cos thats the only way my hair would look neater. At least tts what I THINK.

And now, I've got a rectangular box for my hair.

Hello all! I'm back from HK!
In HK it was all food and shopping, not to mention, lots of walking. heh.

At the airport

The first night was spent at my uncle's place right after we touched down, and then it was off to Victoria's Peak on Day 2. Shopping at Mongkok after tt, followed by a 12-course dinner at some restaurant which my uncle brought us to. They serve really good peking duck and cheese pasta lobster. But seriously, they over-ordered. There was alot of food wastage that night. I hate to waste food, but we were all really stuffed!

The Peak

What we stuffed ourselves with

Day 3 was spent shopping at Mongkok again (we went there like everyday!) and ladies street as well. Ladies street is so over-rated man. There's nth nice there at all, and all the stalls sell the same things. Stall owners are rude and fierce. Some kind of tourist atraction indeed. They are all smiles only when u buy from them. Xu liu shan for dessert that night, and I regret not having more of it.

On Day 4, breakfast was at the Yee Shun Milk Company near our hotel, and they have the nicest, really nicest, steamed milk pudding of all flavours. I would have more of that if I was already bloated. Ocean Park after that, and it was oh-my-gosh-so-freaking-crowded. And packed. We had to jostle out way through and there were snaking queues for almost all the rides. It didnt help that that the place is so huge and mountainous. Coupled with the scorching sun and intense heat, it was terrible. WE were sweating like pigsssss. The only times we managed to get away from the crowd was on the ferris wheel (not before having to queue for an eternity) and also during the cable car ride to the lowlands. I am seriously not a theme park fan. NOT AT ALL.
Causeway Bay for shopping after that, and then back to erm Mongkok for more shopping and food. Star Ferry and Tsim Sha Tsui for the lights then back to Mongkok for desserts.

On Day 5, we headed to Shenzhen. It wasn't as scary as we thought it to be. We've heard horror stories abt how pple often get robbed, pickpocketed or kidnapped from my aunt who goes there often. And how we must always stay tgt in a big grp. But maybe cos we didnt go beyond Luo Wu. Even my aunt who's familiar with the place did not dare to venture into the Dong Men area. Nonetheless, the pple there certainly have a way of cheating us of our money. BLAH. Thats one reason why I wouldnt like to shop in China. However, price haggling has never been easier. haha. Almost all tt we bought was slashed to one third of the price they offered. So.....satisfying. haha.
Foot message after that. It was shiokkkkkkkkk.
Then back to Prince Edward and Mongkok. HAHAHAHA I have no idea why my cousin keeps bringing us there la, but there's really much to shop and eat there.

Dim sum breakfast on the last day. Dim sum there's really cheap by Singapore's standards. We over-ordered. Again. HAHA. But we managed to polish everything up though. And to our horror, at the airport, our uncle brought us to this dim sum restaurant for more dim sum before our flight. Yes, so that day it was nth but a crazy lot of dim sum. lol.

Our dim sum breakfast

More dimsum at the airport =/

Got home not too long ago and I still need to pack my stuff!
It was an evening of sinful but very good food at Chomp Chomp with Vic Shu Tecko Jimmy and friends, after which we submitted to sweet treats at ice cube.
The orea-cookie-chocolate-cheese-cococrunch ice cream and the apple-cinnamon with caramel and whipped cream I had was awesome, but having them at 9 plus at night added to the guilt. HAHA. But oh wells. It was worth it.

I'm flying off tmr and I havent finished packing!

KTV today with the girl and the guys, after which it was off to the library for some books. I've been youtube-ing so much, too much fact, I reckon its time to get back to reading. But I think I'm very much still a you-tube addict. haha.

And for the nth time, I think iswak is damn nice!1.88m is awesome. LOVES!=))))). Part 2 soon please!

Hed Kandi last night with Pet and Pon for drinks before she flys off yet again. Amanda gave the night a miss cos of food poisoning. Amanda if u're reading this, I have ur starbusts from Pet with me!

Oh and I saw this hot causasian outside Fashion Bar yesterday. She has like, never-ending legs. Lovely. And there was this even hotter girl whom Pet and I spotted outside mos. haha. But I think she's an SPG.

This is bad.
I just dont understand why we arent allocated our core modules yet. I called the Dean's office just now only to be told that our core modules would be allocated to us next week. Next week would be fine, really, if I'm in Singapore. But the thing is, I wouldnt be in town. So I asked if they could allocate me my modules first so that I'm able to plan my other modules. We all know that it really is a chore to find modules to fit into our timetables nicely. But anyway, my request was turned down. Its shitty please. So I'm like supposed to start bidding the moment I return to Singapore, when I've havent even had the time to sort out and plan what modules to do?!

I take like an eternity to decide on my modules, since clashes occur like half the time. Just speaking from experience the past 2 semesters.

I just dun get why they are so rigid in handling such stuffs. Is it too much trouble to just give me my core modules now? Oh and she even said that I should know better then to go away during this period. LIKE HELLO! How am I supposed to know that they would allocate us our modules only during this last week of July? If I had known, I wouldnt be so stupid to go away during this time and subject myself to all these trauma and trouble.

Finally got to meet up with Pet today, and it was a rather impromptu one actually. haha. But anw it was good seeing her again, and she got me starbursts from Aussieland! It was supposed to be Sentosa for some sun, sea, and sand, but the weather didnt allow. So it was just random shopping in town, which was rather disappointing.
Drinks next wk with Petrina and Amanda, before she flys off again!
And yes, my popiah and tauhuey craving satisfied. My fingers still smell of chilli crab, which I had for supper just now. =/

Met up with babe today and we went around sourcing for a pair of nice fitting shorts for her auditions this coming weekend. Fell head over heels in love with this skirt from Topshop but its severely over-priced. And I keep having the mentality that I might be able to get a similar one from HK at cheaper price. HAHAHA. The auntie in me.
But of cos, like everyone else, I welcome presents. I wear a size 8 for that, thank you.

I'M KIDDING!

Anw, we kinda decided, at the very last moment, not to attend the runway show tonight. I'm so lazy please. HAHA. Besides, the girls have work tmr, so we werent that eager lah.

I've been overeating la. Sigh. I need to shed some fats. But I keep succumbing to FOOD. I snack in between meals and all. If only I do not have the appetite of a cow. People who dont understand, it sounds really bimbotic I know, but all girls are like that. I reallyyyyyyyyyyy wanna curb my appetite please!

I've got a new tutee by the way, who was my Dad's swimming student, and currently learning piano under my sis as well. HAHA no agent cut yayyy how cool is that! And no, I'm not blinded by money la. I enjoy teaching Maths anyway. But who doesnt want more money!!!!!????And so, I'm a busy bee now. =)

Looking forward to KTV next week! HA HA HA.

Ok to add to the randomness, during my 5days-turned-3days working stint at the office last week, this lady there thought that I'm a Malay. Not the first time I think, but its not very often that people mistake me to be of another race. It was pretty funny actually. heh.

Saturday, July 07, 2007

Omgoshhhh. After sitting through 20 not-too-exciting episodes, I was dealt with a less-than-perfect ending. Not just less-than-perfect actually, it was totally atrocious and lousy. I mean, the ending's just crap. Oh wait. Was there even an ending?

I feel so cheated, the show wasn't even as interesting as DBY to begin with, it was quite a drag actually. And now, I suddenly feel that the whole show doesnt really make sense. Sheesh, I dont get the entire show. Well, not quite.

BLAH enough of all those gibberish.

Anw, the dreadful/stressful/traumatising module-planning beckons. Really, its a chore. Sigh.

I'm off to bed. Tuition at Anqi's early tmr morning.

My job is sucha BORE.
The first hr of work was miserable cos it was totally boring. But after lunch it got better cos I got used to the boredom.

It isnt even admin cos they transfered me to customer service. Basically, I either sit or stand around and AWAIT customers, to DIRECT them to the office and respective reps. And today, there were only about 10 customers. So imgaine my boredom. Time was crawling so slowlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy please. I was stoning and daydreaming the entire time. Okay its quite easy money la I think, but not exactly the most enriching of jobs. sighhhhh.

And the saddest part is I've to lunch alone cos the other temp staff (a very nice girl) I'm working with has to take over me when I'm out lunching and vice versa. HELLO its so lonely to go for lunch alone!!!!!!!

I secretly (okay maybe OPENLY) hope that they will realise that employing me to do that job is but a total waste of resources, and put me to admin or something. HAHAHA.

ERM. I'm like so lazy to post up pics taken on Day 4 and 5. Cos I've got a one-wk office job yay! (I like short-term jobs), tuition with Anqi, magazines to read, Love Contract to watch, and other nonsense. So there isnt much time for me to post up pics. Okayy, plus I am really too lazyyyyyy la.

Basically Day 4 was Taipei 101 and Ximending (again!), and Day 5 was Ximending (again! again! for the nth time) and back to Singapore at night.

Day 3: Danshui and Shilin (sadly, havent gotten pics taken at Shilin yet)
