The solitary stroll I took last night was bittersweet.
Alongside the buzzing traffic and under the night lights,
bathed in the scent which smelt so happy -- the union of fresh raw grass and the fragrance of after-rain.
I took a deep whiff and felt the works of endorphins.
And I realised something was lacking.
Suddenly I found myself wrapped up in a blanket of solitude. I looked around, the walk never felt so different. It didnt feel like this one month ago.
Tears threatened, but I took out my phone, sent a text msg and perhaps felt slightly better.
And forced out a smile, albeit an invisible one.

I should have just headed to the school library to study!
The laptop at home is such a distraction, I just keep surfing around for the most random stuff, or rather, stuff that can wait till tests/exams are over!
This just wont do: reading my notes for 15 mins, then turning to my laptop for the next hr, and back to my notes for the next quarter of an hr, then to my laptop again for the next hour, and the cycle goes on for the rest of the afternoon. And at night, there's Ch8 dramas to watch.
Since the TV can't be kept away from me, sometimes I really think my laptop NEEDS to be locked up hahahah.
Ok, I'm back to my books.
Edit 11.15am:
I'm so mad and pissed and angry with myself! I practically just let $50 fly past me. SIGH.

Once again, wishing all out there a Prosperous Lunar New Year! =)
I've received 2 emails from Lenny shortly after he touched down, so yay to that! But other than that, I've not seen him online or anything yet. He should have reached his hall alrdy, but I guess he's prob busy with all the admin stuff, I don't know.
Its so boring online nowadays, I'm just randomly surfing and reading random blogs while waiting to see if he will come online, BUT there really isnt much to do, plus, I think he wont be coming online anytime soon, so I think I'll go sleep soon.

So I guess this is it.
Funny how sometimes time passes so slowly, and sometimes, so quickly.
It was a teary day of packing, hide-and-seek (as we had played before), National Treasure which we stopped midway, cos time had to be put to better use- doing just about nothing, yet everything. Paradoxical, but thats just how it was.
And as the skies got darker, we made our way to dinner and finally to the airport.
A cake and cupcakes (cupcakes from cellmates) followed, as we sang to the tune of Happy Birthday. Albeit an hour or so earlier then it should have been.
I hope the flight's been treating him good so far!
And now, its time to rest my tired and puffy eyes. And that on-off headache due to...too much crying? Or maybe just the stress.
Its the Eve of CNY now, so to all out there, Gong Xi Fa Cai.

Last year, it was Chinatown.
This year, its gonna be at the airport.
Sigh.
Oh dear, time passes really quickly, I nv thought I'd feel that upset or depressed about it.
Thinking abt it is enough to bring tears to my eyes, so I rather not think nor talk about it, I'd rather contain whatever emotions building up within.
Appearing upset will only make Lenny feel worse I guess. So I'm gonna try not to be so emo.
Must control. Must control. Must control.
This feeling is really horrible.

Sigh. My BFF left for Calgary today.
I wont get to see her till half a year later, but I guess it'll be pretty fun for her with Auntie Florence there! Like what she said, how nice it'd be if we could go together, and live/leech/be taken care of by Auntie Florence (who is my sis's bf's auntie. FYI, my sis's bf's extended family lives in Canada, and its cool cos Auntie Florence works in U of C too!). It'd be so much fun. Oh wells.
I tried hard to control my tears at the departure hall when Vic's eyes welled up. I'm such a loser. Maybe tts why I'm not suited for SEP. I don't know why , but I'm v sure I'll just cry my eyes out if I were the one leaving, with my family and friends waving back at me through that glass door. I know there's a whole new world to be explored out there, and it'd be really fun to do so, but I just find it very difficult to be alone, without my family. I wonder if its a good or bad thing. Oh wells.
And as I type this, I feel even more emo, cos Lenny is leaving for his exchange really soon. I'm gonna totally embarass myself at the airport when I see him off cos I'm pretty sure I'll be the only loser there crying like there's no tomorrow.
Shaomin, the Dev Bio guru will be heading to Heidelberg too. SIGH. no more LSM helpline. haha.
On a happier note, Lenny popped by to wii again. This time, while playing tennis, he swung his arms too high up and crashed/broke/shattered a few crystals from the ceiling lamp. So we spent qt a while cleaning up and picking up the glass shards all over. And wii-ed again after that.
I'm feeling vain, so here:

Lenny had an impromptu idea to cycle today and so off we went. I thought we'd just be cycling to NEARBY NEIGHBOURHOODS, but Lenny decided that we should cycle to Newton. AMK->Bishan->TPY->Novena->Newton and back via Whitley/Thomson or sth, I dunno.
It was qt fun, but cycling uphill is no joke man.
My ass hurts now, my face is all red, my whole body is aching. haha!
I'm so sad cos the bf is leaving SOON! :'(

I finally met up with Pet after almost 1 whole yr, and it was hilarious cos we both coincidentally turned up in almost the same attire of black tank top with dirty-green shorts. Black bag. AND the exact same Havis. The black one with silver wordings.
It was so funny, pple probably thought we were les, esp when we entered the same fitting room together. We ate all the way from 4 to 9, from Xin Wang for drinks to Qiji for laksa and popiah and then to Cedele for a sandwich.

This is gonna be a loooooooong post
Hanging out with Eileen Vic and Claire always feels so much like the after-guides Saturday lunches that we used to do so often back in Crescent. Nice to see how each of us has grown up in our own ways, our conversational topics have undoubtedly evolved with the times as well. No more childish bickering - "Miss Tan, Eileen snatched my ruler first!" and the likes, all in the name of good fun, of course.
I appreciate the fact that despite us meeting for a reunion only once every semester, there's still so much that we can share amongst ourselves.
And so this semester's reunion (minus the reunion during my birthday party, cos that doesnt really count) saw us at Waraku at Clark Quay. We were models for an orange Lambogini (pardon me if I can't spell, wasnt exactly born to be a spelling bee)! Pics with Eileen though.
Love'em to the tiniest bits!

We headed then to Liang Court to satisfy Eileen's intense craving for her Vietnamese Trung Nguyen Coffee and she went trigger-happy. I felt it was a trifle bit too strong and bitter for me, but for Eileen, the coffee was 'orgasmic', in her words. lol.
Petit Provence croissants together with 'orgasmic' coffee spells a good afternoon for good'ol talk/chit-chat with the lovelies.

Then on Monday I caught Ip Man (not IP Man okay lol? pronounced: yip mun) with Lenny and it was surprisingly good. Makes me wanna do some kungfu fighting hah.
And I finally had my virgin ayam penyet experience at the Ayam Penyet Ria@Lucky Plaza. The chilli was flower power, proved a little too strong for me. I thought my threshold for chilli was not bad haha but THIS chilli at Ayam Penyet Ria made me feel like a total disgrace to my chilli-padi eater of a Mum.
And so that night, Lenny played soccer with a burning stomach, or so he claimed. haha.
But the ayam penyet was qt good la.
Tanning and Underwater World with Lenny today and the weather was good to us, thankfully! Will be back to Sentosa for Dolphin Lagoon and Luge soon soon SOON! =)
I guess thats all, I'm off to wii (wii/play off my calories from the ayam penyet ria)! Anyone with guitar heroes to lend me, pretty please!?

Boxing Day was great, I guess it will always be, every year. =)
Checked into the hotel in the early afternoon before heading out to shop. Lenny is THE shopping king. heh. On the contary, I bought nth. like NTH. ZERO.
We walked around the entire afternoon, settled down for a nice dinner thereafter, before walking back to our hotel to catch, yes, you got it right-The Little Nonya.
haha.
Headed out to CHJIMES after our show and had a few drinks at Harry's as we caught the Liverpool match, well, half of the match.
The remainder of the night and the next morning was spent watching action-packed movies on his lappie.
Oh How I love to nua like this. Eat play chill sleep watch movies. heh.
