No grand celebrations this year.
Not when there are hundreds of thousands of people trying so hard to grapple with the aftermath of the tsunami.


The dilemma of a mother who had to let go either one of her sons.
Otherwise both would just perish together.
And so she made the painful decision of releasing her elder 5-yr old.
Heartbreaking, indeed.
Fortunately luck was on her elder son's side and he managed to grab hold of sth to stay afloat.

But, how this decision just sucked. For the mother, that is.

We all are really lucky to be safe in Singapore.

Its just so amazing that Singapore remains unaffected, when our neighbouring countries are in midst of a crisis. Good geographical location, they say.

Nth can describe the devastation in those countries.
Where bloated and decaying bodies line the streets.
As well as the carcesses of cats and dogs.
Rotting fish too.
Where the purtid stench fills the place.

Families broken up.
The purest intention of little kids to take a closer look at those corals
Resulted in them being washed away by the killer waves.
The loss of innocent lives.
Thousands of them.
Including many tourists
Not wanting more than an enjoyable getaway.

Its extremely heart-wrenching too
To know that the people of those countries, though lucky to even be alive
Are left with nth now.
Not even their homes, or their loved ones.
Amid all the confusion and chaos
They can only wonder why this had to happen to them.
The tsunami indeed resulted in many widows,widowers and orphans.
The angst and hatred of these people are understandable.

They are just helpless souls, hoping the entire episode is just a nightmare that they'd soon wake up from.


With articles of the disaster splashed across the newspapers for the past few days, how could anyone remain unmoved????????

And this had to happen during Christmas.
Wasn't Christmas supposed to be a joyful season??????
A season of peace, love and happiness??????

Instead, this Yuletide season brought about a tradegy.
A tradegy that claimed tens of thousands of lives.



Here we are in Singapore, living our lives as usual.
Yet, we've learnt not to take anything for granted.
Our safety, and most importantly our loved ones.
Be glad and relieved that Singapore has been really lucky.
However, luck is never always there.
We've got to be prepared for such a disaster.
If it really happens to us one day.

hmmm just got back from a wedding dinner.....and the bride is like so so so very pretty????????? haha....she's hot stuff man....at least to me.........haha........

And I was such a clown.
I dropped the prawn la!!!!!!!!!!!!
And like who in the world would even drop a prawn while shelling it....
It was just so........yucks la....unglam or whatever....its just sucked totally........

I'm quite pissed with myself too coz I deleted all my hp's inbox msgs again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
k...like whats new.......but it just sucks when the "delete all" option is just right below the "delete" option......and when ur fingers move too fast in a attempt to clear those unwanted msgs as quickly as possible.......u'd accidentally select the "delete all" option and POOF!!!!!..........there goes all the nice msgs..........

At least thats what happens to me......=/

Tmr's Christmas dinner will be at my uncle's house all the way at CCK. Thats like damn far. It was supposed to be at my place la....but luckily my uncle volunteered to have it at his house.....heh...save me all the trouble.....so now there's no need for me to put up my christmas tree!!!!!!!!!!Haha......after all....its gonna be a total waste of my efforts if I'm gonna be the only one admiring my pretty beautiful enchanting tree. =)

Shopping for X-mas presents proved to be a really tedious task....esp with my mum who's so fussy about getting the right gifts for her colleagues......

Anyway town's really really boring.......and crowded.....got shoved...pushed.....tripped by fellow Singaporeans who didn't bother apologising.....


OH yeah I saw Jermaine at Pac Plaza.....she was in a lil pretty and furry Santa's helper's (Santarina????) suit giving out candy canes.....heh.....she gave me like a few of them to pass to Sharon and the others....heh....
so in case I forget to pass them to u guys....pls remind....thanks.....=)







Sharon wants to bake. All my fault. She saw those pictures and got so high. Its all my fault. HEH.

OK....so baking soon at Phy's place....HEH.........

I love going to Eileen's place...

Swam, steam-bathed and fooled around before going down to JEC to get baking stuffs.

Reached her place at abt 9.

And guess what time we started baking????? 3 plus!!!!!!....hurhurhur.........


Anyway being ambitious (or is it overly-ambitious).....we decided to bake a strawberry cream cake......chocolate fondant and Hui Boon's cheesecake......didn't have enough time so we gave the chocolate chip cookies a miss....oh btw....we baked from scratch....no premixes used except for the cheesecake....a whooping 100 marks for our efforts. HA.


The sponge cake for strawberry cake was a total flop. It'd look more like the Himalayas...a flying saucer, rock...whatever la...anything but a sponge cake!!!!!!!
It was disastrous it tasted so bad ....I thought it kinda tasted like synthetic rubber....coz we got the wrong flour!!!!!!!!!!!
Eileen's mum then decided to bake a butter cake to be used as the sponge base.

Whipped cream went wrong......our puree wasn't puree....it was jam....everything just wasn't right....
But we still went ahead la.....did up the cake eventually but coz the cream was so watery (yeah I dunno why) we had to freeze the cake in the freezer. So in the end our cake looked like some strawberry ice cream cake.
It look alright. We tasted it. It was okayyyyyyyyyyy la. Just a lil too sweet. But eating too much of the funny cake made us feel so ugh-ish..........
So my sis is so gonna finish it for me. HEH.



Our chocolate fondant was not perfect. But it was much better compared to our cake.
The fondant was supposed to be crispy on the outside with chocolate oozing out.
Alas....it was soft on the inide but NO CHOCOLATE OOZED OUT!!!!!!!!!!
Haha....but it tasted quite ok....thought it was pretty good considering it was our first attempt at a chocolate fondant though it'd seemed like chocolate kueh....HEH.....


Cheese cake was quite a breeze.....I've learnt that premix saves the day....haha......
A lil too soft.....but tasted heavenly.......


The verdict: My Dad thinks the strawberry cake is nice.....My Mum thinks the chocolate fondant tastes better....=)


Oh I love eating at Eileen's place.....aunty Mila her maid cooks damn delicious food.....had a really yummeh dinner there......=)


Eileen has a cool mum with a potential to become a baker. HAHA.

I've finished reading Peacocks Dancing by Sharon Maas (recommended by Amelia)....and yes its a really good book...it takes u through the life of the protagonist.....truly engaging and abosorbing and of coz....entertaining..
Its so rich and uh....there's really alot of substance in it.....umm get the drift?????? sth like that like....
And flipping every page only serves to unravel the beauty of the author's writing style and at the same time...provides insights on the streets of India...


Anyway u guys should really read it la....nice way to past the time....

Anyway I'm not saying this for the benefit of Singapore which is pathetically small compared to those other countries, and even some islands. Singapore would never have a chance in winning anyway?????!!!!!!!!! Not that our we're lousy and ugly or what... But hasn't it been this way all the time????? It would be a great feat if Singapore can even make it through the preliminary round.

I just feel that they should jolly well abolish the voting system coz its not very fair to other smaller countries with a small population.

Went to town with my mum on Saturday to spend those Cocoa Tree Vouchers....sheesh...$20 didn't get me much....to think I was so excited over what to get earlier on....and my mum bought M&Ms that was worth $10.90.....I was like HUH...all the way to Cocoa Tree just to get M&Ms?????? But anyway she likes it la.........I'm smarter so I got Dark Chocolates, Coffee-Flavoured Chocolates and Orange-Flavoured ones......at least u dun find them at those convenience stores heh......


Tuesday (yesterday) met Claire in town in the afternoon. We're proud of ourselves. Walked from Taka all the way in (I mean deep in) to Orange Grove where RELC is located. At least we didn't get lost.....coz I was there. I'm just street smart I guess...HA....

Anyway it was so frickin far I bet we walked at least 3km or so?????HA...no big deal....except that we did it in about 25 mins under the scorching hot sun...sweltering heat....and yes....in skirts....so.......How great is that???? How cool is that????? HEH...

Headed to Toys'R'Us at Forum....deprived kiddos like us found much amusement in those plushies and flower-heads or whatever u call that....
There was some performance going on there....didn't noe what on earth that was until Claire told me they are the Strawberry Shortcakes or sth like that....kk I have no idea what they are but apparently kids love them?????? Anyway concluded that Claire is not as pathetic as me......at least she knows they are the Strawberry Shortcakes.....
So Claire got her hula hoop.......trust me....it was stupid carrying a hula around town......and inconvenient too.....


Needed some thrill so we decided to take up the challenge of entering the LV Store in Taka.....we were kinda hesitating and so loitered outside for quite some time like some idiots.......and anyway I managed to persuade Claire into going in with me....it was so exciting yet scary....coz security was so tight and there was even a guard who opened the door for us. One word. Posh.
It was freaky in a way coz there were so many staffs inside.....and silly Claire was talking on her phone....it was so stupid coz she should have just taken the opportunity to feast her eyes on those stuffs in there....anyway saw this silly tiny purse that costs $1010....
Was freaked out and we immediately left.....couldn't afford to stay in there a min longer lest I damage some stupid item that might just cost my life........

I think LV's so crazy. It such a silly ole brand and yet it costs so much. Crazzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. But quite nice la....heh....but still.....its crazzyyyyyyyyyyyyy.


I've wrapped up those Christmas presents......HA...efficient Joyce....
