Its the crazy post-Christmas sales EVERYWHERE. Miss Selfridge is having a 50%+10% discount, and Topshop is having like almost storewide sale (damn, at this rate, I'll nv be able to use my voucher cos it can only be used on non-sale items, and there are practically NONE. Everything's on sale now u tell me how to use. Its just so silly!).
Zara sale is equally bad, its like some sort of a pig sty I have no idea where to start searching for stuff. Please tell me the top Mummy bought for me last week is NOT ON SALE. Else I'd just slap myself).
Its so tempting to get stuff cos they're all on sale (the kiasu auntie in me). BUT............I'm broke. Furthermore, items bought during sales more often than not, are just impulse purchases).

And so, I've decided no more shopping for me, window shopping not counted.hah.

Science center in the afternoon (eh dun laugh, its really not bad!) hahah and then Lenny rented this movie Hostage in the evening to watch, but it wasn't exactly a v good show. Too bad they didnt have National Treasure 1.

Fun and play aside, everyone's asking me what modules I'm intending to take next sem. Its stressing me out,and I'm so gonna start thinking abt it tmr. Somehow, I find this module-planning/bidding thing qt stressful. I dunno, but I dont really like it alot. Maybe only Elaine feels this way too. hahah.

Very belated Christmas lunch (then again, Christmas lasts 12 days) with Elaine and Kelly today, Bao only joined us much later, after we were done with lunch. Food was alright only, but I thought the beef bolo melted cheese fries and the seemingly simple chocolate ice cream was somehow, very nice.

Oh and I've received a Christmas card in my letter box today. Its v nice of XJ to send me a card by snail mail w/o fail every yr, pple nowadays just make do with e-cards/sms greetings. Somehow, its just so heartwarming, even to the point of touching, esp since we are not exactly tt close, but he still makes the effort! Thanks, XJ! =)

Christmas is the time I stuff myself with turkey and turkey stuffings. I ate like a cow yesterday during family Christmas get-together. But the turkey was really awesome. Somehow I just cant get enough of turkey.hah.
The mahjong addicts mahjong-ed while I just sat ard helping myself to the food.
Bingo was fun yesterday, though I lost to Clarence only by a margin! SIGH. But it just feels good when the entire extended family sits ard and plays together. =D

(I'm blogging at such an odd hour cos my hair's still wet and there's no way I can go to bed with such damp hair).

My Xmas eve started off with ep 2 of ISWAK2 (talk abt kiasuism, hohoho!), followed by a trip to the Furniture Mall (my frist time there! the place's just so.....uluated, its nearly rural haha) with Lenny to get his furniture measurements. We met a funny aunty, who tried to, according to Lenny, speak in our lingo, and asked if we were going chionging at night. Okay, I give her credit for being friendly. =D

After which we headed to Vivo for very late lunch. The crowded was horrible, we had qt a bit of difficulty finding somewhere where we didnt have to queue. National Treasures in the evening and I have to say tt its a pretty good show. At least I didnt doze off. I nv thought I'd enjoy it. I gave the first part a miss, cos it just didnt appeal to me, but surprisingly, the second part was really not bad.

Super cheap thrill ( and I mean REALLY SUPER CHEAP THRILL) after that, but it was all fun nontheless. =)
Headed to church for the midnight mass just a while before the countdown. It's been qt a few yrs since I've been to the midnight mass cos I've been attending the mass at dawn the past few yrs. Albeit sleepy, but I didnt doze off. Unlike Donald. haha. Okay at least he made the effort to follow us to church, so its good. =)

Basically it was just a simple Xmas eve, no fancy activities/countdowns/whatnots but I guess when the company's right, all's nice enjoyable.

This yuletide I've been overeating.
I stuffed myself silly during the xmas gathering at my Godma's just now. Damn, I wanted to have more of the Christmas ham, but I was too bloated. hahah. My sis and the some of the cousins played mahjong while I stoned and watched the Star Search rerun.
Dinner, followed by a reflection on our faith, and then the gifts exchange (the kids ALWAYS look forward to that hah). Nth new, its the same old routine every year, but very meaningful nonetheless.

The cousins =). We(I) look too gleeful, I cant even see my own eyes. LOL


And then yesterday I accompanied my Mum for her company event and lunch, and the turkey was VERY good. I went back for several helpings. The auntie in me hahah.
Dinner was at Mush's where we bbq-ed under the rain. Its the second time we're doing bbq under the rain, with the same grp of pple. Not easy, with the umbrellas and all.
Good food, good talk, followed by the mini gift exchange, and all in all it was one nice and enjoyable affair, save for the dampening rain!

I cant believe this. Episode 2 of prison break 3 is NOT WORKING. So I'm like, stuck, and I cant go on. Man, this sucks. I need episode 2, who has it!?

On the other hand, I've caught the first ep of ISWAK2. Nv fails to crack me up. The girl is just so.....stupidly funny. haha. I cant wait for the next ep to be out.

I'm so so so in love with Alvin and the Chipmunks! They're like how cute pls! Go watch it if u havent!

So comms ball's over. Thanks to Aaron who was the sword of honour, I had to receive the chief and his wife with him. And share the table with them. Thank goodness for some last minute changes, I was not sitted next to them ( I was supposed to. phew). I have zero dinning etiquette and whatnots. haha.
No pictures, cos we hardly took any. The chief was there with us almost the enitre time so the guys at the table couldnt horse around and we didn't take pictures and stuff.

Chjimes thereafter for caipirinha (taste qt like mojito) and some good old talk.

I'm back from Melaka! Basically there really isnt much to shop there, but the food there's good and cheap. Think bak kut teh and chicken rice balls!
And we stopped by JB for seafood on the way back. Not tt cheap, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm already missing the cereal crayfish man. The Malacca House is gonna be redeveloped, and we'll be missing it alot!










So...historic. haha.
