Brussels didnt seem too nice to me at first, but I was gradually won over by their waffles, chocolates, mussels, and last but not least, the awesomely fabulous Grand Place. Was at Amsterdam before Brussels, and Amsterdam is alot about sex and canals. The red light district didnt disappoint, it certainly was an eye opener for us. The canals were equally beautiful-----almost postcard worthy. Will be heading to Zurich tonight, and YAY finally we'll be putting up at a hotel, not hostel. Totally looking forward to Swisshotel!

hejhej!
Currently located at my hostel in Copenhagen, we were forced to retreat back to our hostel so early at 4pm cos of the bad weather. Strong winds traveling at the speed 3x that of yesterday made our umbrellas flip every few steps, it was a struggle just to maintain the grip on our brollies and to walk against the wind. Its seriously like a typhoon man. You see pple along the streets with their umbrellas flipped upside down, inc ours. But most danes are cool. They can go w/o umbrellas and still cycle in the rain. Btw, the majority of the pple here get their way around on bicycles. So its sorta like a bicycle town, its pretty cool. But still, the weather was/is really bad, we couldnt go to many places. Doesnt help that it rains non-stop! argh. even though the air temp is above 10 celsius, I am pretty sure the wind temp isnt! I bet its below 10 celsius la. And cos my shoes were wet from yest's rain, I wore slippers out today, cos they dry way faster than my shoes. The downside is that I look like a totaly fashion disaster with jeans and slippers. Surprisingly my toes didnt feel as cold and frozen as I had expected them to be!
Basically Copenhagen is a nice and beautiful place, but the bad weather the past few days just spoiled it all. Hopefully Amsterdam will be wayyyyyyyyyy better so that I can wear slippers and shorts out!

hello! greetings from Nottingham! Its freezing here at 10 degrees celsius, well, at least for summer. It feels more like winter to me, esp since I'm barely equipped w cold wear!
Touched down at London yest clad in cardigan and shorts (hey its supposed to be summer!), and was met with cold bitter wind, heavy rain, and was forced to get a thicker jacket (not qt winter wear but still its better than my thin as rice paper cardigans haha) from H&M. H&N seriously rocks la I went trigger happy when I saw 2 huge mega H&M stores within extremely close proximity of each other in London, which by the way, is awesomely beautiful.
Arrived at Nottingham after a long journey, and by then my toes and fingers felt almost frozen ( cant be bent!), my face almost stiff as cardboard whenever the wind blew past.
It rained a little this morning but I was kinda soaked through cos we went out early in the morn to visit some of Lenny's SEP mates in their rooms cos halfway the rain suddenly got heavier and the winds got stronger it was HORRIBLE. For an instant, I actually missed Singapore's weather!
And so cos of the rain we had to stay indoors after tt, and I used the opportunity to catch up on more sleep before heading out again in the late afternoon to explore the campus. The place is really qt pretty and peaceful, the weather slightly better with the sun finally out (though the occasional wind was kinda crazy as usual).
My fingers still feel kinda stiff despite typing so much in an attempt to warm them up =(
